Hippersons Boatyard is delighted to offer a brand new, unique package to guests staying at our award winning boatyard. In partnership with award winning vineyard - Chet Valley, we have created the perfect timeout for those who love nature, water and incredible wines.

The package works best with a  minimum three night stay, as the vineyard tour and wine tasting will take up one complete day of your stay, allowing you time to fully immerse yourself in the delights of the Waveney Valley. It just be booked 4 weeks in advance of arrival. For over 18s only.

Your paddle-board lesson will be tailored to the ability of the group. Stephen will guide you down the river Waveney and show you the sights. He will work with the tides to support your experience, and by the end of your tour you will find your confidence brining the river to life, will have grown. The paddle-board experience is from 1pm - 3pm.

At Chet Valley uncover the story behind their artisan English wines, exploring between the rows of the vines on an exclusive vineyard tour led by Norfolk’s original winemaker, John Hemmant. Discovering every aspect of the growing and winemaking processes, this immersive vineyard experience offers endless inspiration – alongside the opportunity to taste award-winning wines in the beautiful Norfolk countryside of the Waveney valley.

Once all the tasting is complete, your group will take time to relax with the wonderful Chet Valley Vineyard’s luxury picnic, featuring locally sourced foods, including charcuterie, ham, cheese, freshly baked bread, and a delightful garden salad plus a potato salad, followed by strawberries and cream. (Picnics can be amended affording to dietary needs and you will be asked to provide this at the time of booking to ensure your picnic is prepared for you and your needs

A Paddle-board lesson and guided tour along the river Waveney where the instructor will bring the river to life with some tales of Beccles through the ages.

or

A full day hire of a self drive day boat fro you to explore the River Waveney between Beccles and Oulton Broad.

1. Vineyard tour and wine tasking, followed by an alfresco lunch with plenty of local flavours to compliment the wines you are savouring.

2. A complimentary bottle of Chet Valley bubbles in your accommodation to enjoy when you arrive.

Transport to the vineyard and back, although there’s local bus that stops nearby, and a pleasant 30 minute stroll from the bus stop across the vineyards will set you up for the delights coming your way. For those who prefer a taxi can be arranged at your own expense by letting Hippersons know.

Full body wets suits, although we recommend you wear light summer clothing you are happy to get wet.

Vineyard tours are on a Wednesday and Saturday so your stay must include either a Wednesday a Saturday, or both.
