DayBoats - Your boat for a day

Self drive Day boats can be hired by you to explore the River Waveney on the Broads National park, you skipper your “boat for the day”. The boat is available for your use from 9.15am - 4.30pm, and you can choose to use it for as much or as little of this time as you choose to. You can be reassured that your boat will have had full anti viral clean and left overnight in the fresh air, so it is ready for your party. Parking is included with your hire on site. Buoyancy aids and all fuel is included, the party leader needs to be  at least 18. Whoever captains the boat must stay under the legal limit for driving and no alcohol is to be consumed or taken on our boats.   All our boats are non smoking and non vaping.  We offer your boat for a day hire only, booked in advance online.

We enjoy a drink and we love boats but the two don’t mix. In order to bring the river to life safely and to ensure you have a positive experience, we require that alcohol will not be taken or consumed on board the boats.

If you intend to arrive on foot, then we will be taking a deposit of £250 for the boat, on one card, which will be returned within three working days when the boat is returned safely and the driver is under the legal limit.

Our Boats 

One 4 person electric boat:  Catchalot. 

Four 6 persons electric boats: Otter Grebe, Teal and Bittern.  

One 7 person diesel boat: Heron 

 The boats are pet friendly, 2 small dogs or 1 large dog.

Fishing is only permitted from boats during the fishing season, and when the engine is not running, this is to ensure the line does not get caught in the propeller and following national park guidelines.  

If you have a larger group requiring multiple boats please contact us before booking as restrictions may apply.
